WHAT MAKES ME

My interest in photography started at 10 years old when I received a camera for my birthday. It wasn’t until a few years later that it transformed into a hobby, and as a young teenager I sold some of my pictures. At the time it was all things aviation and was often found hanging out at the end of the runway at Manchester airport photographing planes.
During the following few decades, my interest in photography peaked and waned until about 10 years ago when I discovered fine art photography. This art form became my outlet of creativity on a level I’d never experienced before, and I was frequently being asked by friends and family to take pictures at their events. It was often suggested that I take up photography professionally, but I chose to keep it as a hobby. Instead, I took up videography, but that’s a different story.
In the last few years, I have been asked if my fine art prints are for sale. My short answer has always been no! Not because I don’t want to sell them but because I have never felt they were good enough to sell. This lack of confidence spurred me to attend fine art photography seminars and I landed myself a great mentor in the process. I’ve now taken the big leap of turning professional with my photography, selling my fine art as limited edition prints and capturing those special moments for clients simply because of my love for the art.
